Biography

A native of Upstate New York and Brooklyn local since 2011, I founded this studio in 2016 to contribute my multidisciplinary design process in service of the built environment. I’m a modernist at heart, and I work to make products of design that are honest, interesting, and work well for everyone who experiences or operates them.

As a graduate of the RIT Industrial Design program and member of the IDSA NYC Chapter with over seven years’ experience working with agencies, large brands and small companies, I have a unique perspective on design problems of all kinds. I’ve designed products, trade show exhibits, museum galleries, brand experiences, hospitality spaces, pop-up retail environments, corporate events, and more. I apply the same guiding principles to the design of small, personal objects and large, institutional spaces.

Social Media Week

With a growing number of attendees, and a much-loved, historic venue, this annual conference presented some unique design challenges and room for improvement over previous years’ events. Evolving the visual and material identity of the conference while increasing efficiency in crowd control, traffic flow, sponsor exhibitors’ build-outs and conference information displays were identified early on as priorities to both the organizers and attendees.

An easily modular and scalable system of exhibit spaces & display structures were designed, along with a set of illustrated order forms, to give sponsors an easy way to build out an engaging presence in the campus, and to streamline the construction and installation process to allow for extended deadlines and logistical efficiency.

Stage designs captured the energy of the conference’s technological content, using simple materials and lighting to great effect. Digital signage allowed for easily customized information about the presenter and the sessions while still allowing for a full dedicated presentation screen.

Finally, a digital signage and queuing system allowed attendees to learn about upcoming sessions, reserve seats, and enter the theaters without waiting in long lines and crowding in narrow halls and stairways.
