Chia-chuan Lin was born and raised in Taipei Taiwan. After graduated from RIT with anMFA degree in Industrial Design in 1997, he went back to Taiwan and worked for Acer ComputerInc. as an industrial designer. 4 years later he joined Lifestyle Design Center at BenQ Corp and worked his way up till he became the Chief Designer and took charge of the entire design center. He was responsible for BenQ brand design strategy and design guideline; coaching and managing various design teams including: Industrial Design, UI, GUI, Product Graphic, Packaging, Design Communication, Design Research and Design Project Management, etc.
Lin is very passionate about understanding people and improving their lifestyle all around the world. Between work, he travels a lot and has visited 40+ countries and 300+ cities. Over the years, he has also won many international design awards including IDEA(USA), iF(Germany), Red Dot (Germany), G-Mark(Japan), etc….
In 2012, he joined Samsung Electronics as the Creative Director at the Samsung Design China based in Shanghai China. He managed the Emotion Innovative Design Department.

In 2013, he joined NetDragon Websoft Inc., a leading online games and software developer in China, as the Chief Designer(Vice President) and is currently supervising the User Experience Design Center(over 200 designers) and Industrial Design Centre (over 50 designers) and 2 overseas design teams in Taiwan and the UK. He is helping the Founder and the Chairman of NetDragon to transform the company from a production-oriented to become a more design-thinking organization.
